About The Author
I, as do many others, find 'About' pages generally difficult to write. Summing up who you are in a few paragraphs isn't terribly hard, but doing it well is
what I call talent. Telling the internet who you are as a person as best as you possibly can, without giving out too much
unnecessary information
is a skill not many people have (yes, I'm one of those who lack it). So, without further ado, I shall give a
pitiful attempt to let you into my life, if even only a little bit.
I'm Sean, a sixteen year old, borderline alcoholic ginger kid. I love to write, dance, draw and attempt to sing songs that even some of the best voices can't achieve. I currently live in Eastern Canada with my mother, father and younger brother while entering my junior year in high school. While in school I excel most noticeably in English and history, but in all honestly I couldn't care less. I'm a very creative person, and I lack a lot of common sense. I am absolutely dreadful with numbers, I can't do even the simplest math equations without a calculator (and I'll probably have some trouble with the calculator as well).
I believe in equality and acceptance; whether you're African American, Asian, Jewish, homosexual or anything in between. I don't believe that anyone should be treated better or worse because they are different - every person should receive the same judgement as the person next to them, bias free. I hope that I can make a difference, even a small one. Just affecting one person can make a huge change in the world around you. Some people just need a reality check, or a punch in the throat; whichever works faster.
Media and journalism are both something I'm very dedicated to. Preferably music, television and film. I am very interested in furthering my musical range; I love listening to artists and hearing their personal touches to theirs songs/albums. It makes you want to find your own sound and skill level, and I hope to pursue that in the near future. My preferences in music are very wide, as I will listen to almost any genre providing the lyrics and the sound are decent. I will also be in an applied broadcasting journalism program starting this fall, requiring me to be on television reading out news reports to my school. I for one am very excited because I love to write, and I love to be on television so it's a win/win situation on my behalf. I'm a huge movie buff, I absolutely love comedy, action, and horror movies - sometimes I'll even watch the occasional romantic comedy/chick flick if I'm feeling extra homosexual that day.
I'm not quiet, I'm not reserved; I'm anything but. I'm energetic and very outgoing, although at times I like my own space. I love my friends and my family, and I especially love to have fun. I try not
to worry about my future too much, I'd rather focus my efforts and time in the present and see where that takes me (read: hopefully somewhere good).
