Today I was thinking about how cool it would be if you could change how your cell phone interface look with CSS. Yeah, I'm just going to step back from the Internet right now...

Just so this page doesn't look so empty, here is a photo I took awhile ago. Completely unedited excluding the resize and my name added onto it.

Edit: I need to change the colours on this layout. Any ideas? I'm getting sick of the bright colours; I seem to use them excessively.

That's Not My Name

The song by The Ting Tings called 'That's Not My Name' is really catchy. It's been on repeat for about a day or so, and I love it. It's not the kind of music I usually listen to, but my tastes in music have started expanding and now I listen to just about everything (yes, that includes Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus/whoever the fuck else she'll be in a few days).

I promised you guys exciting stories though, didn't I? I'll warn you, this will be a lengthy, unorganized post.

So, I went to Cheticamp last Friday with my family and friends; Cheticamp is this crazy French village located somewhere in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and I went to a locally famous campground. This is a great place for a vacation, because there is always so much to do. I was scaling rocks for most of the afternoon using my rock climbing gear, but it was absolutely horrifying because it was hundreds of feet above the ground. When I finally got on solid ground again I went to the docks with the other teenagers I was with. Well, the second we step on the dock we see three thirty foot long basking sharks around the dock. Now, these sharks don't generally harm humans but they are still petrifying to be in the water with. They're the second bigged water mammal in the world right after the blue whale, and their mouth opens wider than I am tall. Basically, it'll swallow you whole and it won't even notice. Then further along we saw a beached whale which the animal control people were trying to put back in the water. It was a cute whale. :D

After getting some pictures of the sharks on my phone, we went back to the campground and this guys trailer was SURROUNDED by all the cops in Cheticamp (which, in all honesty, counts to be about five people because it's a hick town). Some had their guns out while others had their tasers pointed and ready to... shock? The guy in the trailer was said to be an alcoholic and his girlfriend just broke up with him and he was threatening to shoot himself—they ended up busting in the door and tasering the guy. He comes out in nothing but a towel screaming at us, telling us he'd be back to get us. I laughed, because he won't be coming back. He'll be going to the hospital. :|

There was a fire on the beach that night, and everyone was drinking. The cops came (the same ones who got buddy out of the trailer) and told us to make sure we cleaned up our mess, and not to be too loud because there are people around trying to sleep. They didn't tell us not to drink, they didn't take away our liquor, they didn't do anything. See, these are the kind of cops that we need around here.

Then, while I was loaded I played house with some people and I was the maid. My name was Spice Of My Life, LOL. I don't know, it was fun at the time. :S I also made out with my 'owner', if you will. That was... fun.

I hope you guys enjoy the new layout—I still have a lot of fixing up to do, but it's basically done. Thank you Brent for the amazing template.

I'm still on 'vacation' for the next two days, but I'd thought I'd let you know that it's going well and I should be back to blogging on Wednesday, if not Thursday at the latest. I have a lot of cool stories to tell and then for another blog post I have an idea for a meme I'd like to start (haha, please don't kill me!). The meme, while probably not that original, is something I'd like to see get posted around the net so... well, I'll just let you find out for yourself. :)

See you in a few days! :D

Tomorrow I wake up at 6:30AM to get ready for the long trip to a camp ground which is inconveniently six goddamn hours away. :| A bunch of my friends are going as well, so it'll be a blast but the unfortunate part of it all is that I won't be online for a solid two days, but after that I may be on occasionally. After two days of camping I'm going to my grandparents, and they have a computer, so I'll hopefully get online to blog then. :D

I'm really proud of myself, I'm actually blogging and I'm not struggling while doing so. Back in the good ole days I used to pop a blood vessel just trying to think of a blog topic. :P Lets hope I can keep this up, eh? I totally jinxed myself right there, by the way. I think when I get back I'm switching over to Expression Engine, so keep an eye out for that.

Don't mind the grammatical/spelling/punctuational errors in this entry - I've been up since 9AM (way too early) packing and getting ready and now I have to go to work. Fuck.

Got my tragus pierced! Didn't hurt all that much, but the crunching noise was kind of disgusting. :P I really like it, even with the throbbing pain that comes with it for a bit. Sleeping will be interesting tonight! :)

I'm attempting to update FanUpdate 2.1.1 to the next version, but when looking at the instructions given on the website it seems as though I will lose all my blogs and comments. :| This results in me... uh... not wanting to do it. Unfortunately I know I have to because of the ridiculous amount of spam I'm getting*, but maybe if I find another way? Tips are appreciated. A lot.

* this is why my comments are under moderation now, so hopefully if I finally update, the spam issues will go away and I can let users comment freely again. Maybe I should just learn how to code layouts for WordPress?

I absolutely hate it when I come across a website offering reviews when said website is below par in every aspect of what they are reviewing. Today I unfortunately came across a 2006-esque website attempting to give a review to another website, which, admittedly, wasn't that great itself. Basically, I'm here to rip apart this review.

Edit: She just banned me from her website. It's called a proxy, dear. :) At least she took some of my advice and applied it to her review. She edited minor details, at least.

First Impressions & Layouts
Your layout is very well done, and I was impressed with it. However, the coding doesn't match your layout and nor do the colours. Personally, I think your blog would be better if you showed only the latest two blogs instead of all of them. I know that most people won't look at your blogs from 2007. You don't like CHILDREN and don't mind announcing it publicly?? Ugh.. to me that's a turn off.

That's it? That's all you are going to say about her layout? You're not even going to mention that her links aren't styled properly? Give me a break buddy. You say her header is nice and that the styling doesn't match the header as well as it should. You're not going to give any tips for colours or structure? Alright. What is this bullshit about her not liking children. It's a turn off for you? Fair enough, but what the fuck does that have to do with her website? Yeah, thought so.

Content
Lets break this up into pieces.

Premade Layouts
>>Commenting on your rules, I think they could be worded differently. "If you take off the credit, I will be very unhappy." This is an empty threat.. and it makes your website seem less proffesional. You've already told them in the sentence before not to take credit for your work.

Your website is supposed to be... threatening? I never knew, seriously. Oh, and you spelled professional incorrectly, by the way.

>>I'm not too fond of the cussing on this page, even if it is just 'damn'. "That means, don't change the banner. Even if you credit me, that's still taking my coding. Just make your own damn layout if you're going to do that." You should cut this to just 'don't change the banner'. They get the point.

Cursing? You're getting after her for cursing? Wow. Buddy, we aren't back in the 1900's, swearing is acceptable online. It's her website and if she chooses to fucking swear she can do so if she wants.

... blah, blah, blah. A bunch of pointless ramble on sections of her website where you're really not helping her improve much. I'm not even going to bother with them.

Other Pages
I'm only taking a look at the part where you review her review page, because it just brings the lulz.

Reviews
>>This part of your site I'm extremely unhappy about. It looks quite similar to my own reviews, don't you think?? And I'm sure it's not a coincidence since you just started your reviewing section.

http://lostmymind.org/visitor/reviews/reviews.php

When I read that first sentence out loud, it makes me feel stupid. Can't tell you why, but it would sound better if you took the end of that sentence and put it in the front. Anyway, the double question marks are unnecessary and the accusations are also unnecessary at this time.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISIM:
"Understand that I will be giving you constructive criticism" Your 'version'
"These reviews are purely constructive critisism." Mine.
Notice how both of the 'constructive critisim' is bolded??

First of all, you spelled criticism wrong. Secondly, every God damn WPR says they are giving constructive criticism. Did you just come up with the term now? Congratulations, really, because no one else who runs a WPR has EVER use that term!

>>OK WHOA. Your 'rubric'. It's way too similar to mine. FIRST IMPRESSION, CONTENT, OTHER PAGES, GRAMMER, OVERALL?!?!!? Sound familiar? And look, it's in the same exact format as MY rubric.

PLEASE change your rules and rubric, as it has similarities to mine that simply can't be 'coincidences'.

SNAP! This just made me laugh, like, really hard. Two years ago when I ran a WPR, that was my rubric. Exactly, word for word. First Impressions, Content, Other, Grammar*, and Overall. If you think that's unique please get off the internet, now. I mean, I'm sure they weren't coincidences but the way you defend yourself is just pathetic given the circumstances.

The Rest Of Your Review
Grammer
A lot of cussing issues, grammer problems, and unneccesary sentences.

1. It's spelled grammar genius. Don't review grammar and spelling if you can't even GRASP the concept yourself!
2. Cursing is not equal to grammar, so it shouldn't be in this section.
3. A lot of unnecessary* sentences? Yeah, if that's part of your review don't label this portion of it grammar, it should be something like 'Writing Syntax'.

Overall
Your site, unoriginal like most, has potential. However, you shouldn't follow to closely on the work of others. Come up with your own ideas! Also, your site is off in Mozzila Firefox. Please change your reviewing section on your site.

Your website isn't original buddy. You use copyrighted images, you have the same design as every 12-year-old getting into web design, and honestly you're not very unique so don't talk about following the work of others when really she didn't copy anything more than you did. By the way, it's spelled Mozilla.

Seriously, your review was horrible. Stop right now, please. I mean you bold, underline and italicize random words, you don't have any idea what you're talking about and you're pretty rude and off topic when you try. :| That's enough out of you.

“Understand that I will be giving you constructive criticism” Your ‘version’
“These reviews are purely constructive critisism.” Mine.
Notice how both of the ‘constructive critisim’ is bolded??

First of all, you spelled criticism wrong. Secondly, every God damn WPR says they are giving constructive criticism. Did you just come up with the term now? Congratulations, really, because no one else who runs a WPR has EVER use that term!

>>OK WHOA. Your ‘rubric’. It’s way too similar to mine. FIRST IMPRESSION, CONTENT, OTHER PAGES, GRAMMER, OVERALL?!?!!? Sound familiar? And look, it’s in the same exact format as MY rubric.

PLEASE change your rules and rubric, as it has similarities to mine that simply can’t be ‘coincidences’.

SNAP! This just made me laugh, like, really hard. Two years ago when I ran a WPR, that was my rubric. Exactly, word for word. First Impressions, Content, Other, Grammar*, and Overall. If you think that’s unique please get off the internet, now. I mean, I’m sure they weren’t coincidences but the way you defend yourself is just pathetic given the circumstances.

The Rest Of Your Review

Grammer
A lot of cussing issues, grammer problems, and unneccesary sentences.

It’s spelled grammar genius. Don’t review grammar and spelling if you can’t even GRASP the concept yourself!

Cursing is not equal to grammar, so it shouldn’t be in this section.

A lot of unnecessary* sentences? Yeah, if that’s part of your review don’t label this portion of it grammar, it should be something like ‘Writing Syntax’.

Overall
Your site, unoriginal like most, has potential. However, you shouldn’t follow to closely on the work of others. Come up with your own ideas! Also, your site is off in Mozzila Firefox. Please change your reviewing section on your site.

Your website isn’t original buddy. You use copyrighted images, you have the same design as every 12-year-old getting into web design, and honestly you’re not very unique so don’t talk about following the work of others when really she didn’t copy anything more than you did. By the way, it’s spelled Mozilla.

Seriously, your review was horrible. Stop right now, please. I mean you bold, underline and italicize random words, you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about and you’re pretty rude and off topic when you try. That’s enough out of you.

My friends and I (six of us in total) were 'camping' outside in my friends backyard. We had a fire going, we were roasting marshmallows, you know the things you usually do when camping. Well, after the plan of trying to stuff six people into a two person tent kind of failed (it worked, by the way—it was just way too bloody hot), we all slept outside on the reclining lawn chairs. We were just talking at the time, our fire was out and everything was chill, until two fire trucks sped by, lights on and sirens blaring. We were wondering what was up so close to my friends, so we kept an eye out and low and behold, three more firetrucks go by, as well as two ambulances and police cars.

I'm a curious guy, I can't help it. My friends and I follow the noise and it leads us to the biggest house fire I have ever seen in my life. This amazingly nice three story house, completely destroyed. We got there and the roof imploded, and half the house just kind of burnt off. The fireworks in the house also got set off because of the fire, which surprised everyone around. We watched it burn from 4AM until about 5AM, before heading back. I felt so bad, I wanted to give the family a hug—I knew the people who lived there, but not well so I didn't dare go near the fire. They also lost their car, it burnt too.

We get home, sleep for an hour and get up again so we can check the house in daylight. Whatever is left of it, which really is practically nothing, was black. Completely charred. They lost years of memories and all their hard work and money. :( I hate situations like this, because it's one of my biggest fears. Losing everything, family and items alike. I can't even imagine it, and quite frankly, I don't want to. I just hope everyone is okay.

Moving on to the website: I changed the layout colours again, I merged the about pages together, I rewrote the About the Author section & added a new picture, as well as updating the links page. Hopefully you enjoy it, but right now I have massive amounts of spam to delete and a very long night ahead while trying to figure out how to update my FanUpdate without losing entries and comments. Great. Lets see how an hour sleep in the past two days will help me complete this task.

Police Officers Are Douche Bags

For the most part, any police officer I have ever met has turned out to be a real douche bag. Whether or not it's because of their arrogance (police seem to have large egos), or because they got stuck with the night shift; they are still extremely rude and unfair. Really though, what can you do about it? Not much. They hold the power, what they say goes. Anything you say back to them will be used against you and anytime you talk to them your words get twisted into these bullshit lies.

The other night I was pulled over, along with my two friends (Tyler and Marc). We weren't driving, by the way, we were walking. :P Anyway, they pull up to us and tell us not to move. We just stood there, all three of us were pretty flabbergasted. The police officer (who seemed about 25, and his partner who also looked around that age) accused us of tipping green bins and garbage bins on our way from Marc's to Tyler's place. We kept telling them we didn't do it, and they kept yelling at us about how we were stupid teenagers who do nothing but lie to their superiors. Yes, they were his exact words.

Eventually we finished with that, because they really had no evidence we did anything (which we didn't). So, we walk up the path and right before we get to Tyler's the same guys pull us over AGAIN. Apparently this time we threw our beer bottles at a fucking car and they were going to charge us for vandalism? The first thing I said was, "Do I look drunk, because I'm not. You can give me a breathalyzer, and it'll fucking read as 0 buddy, so go ahead." Needless to say, he refused to give me the test. It was really weird, to say the least. :S

They have our names down on file, as well as our contact information and our parents names. MY NAME IS ON FILE. Not. Cool. At. All. We plan on getting our parents to help us when we call in to report these guys for screaming and falsely accusing us with no proof whatsoever. :|

I'm back at home, sitting on my lazy ass in front of the computer. I've been home for a day, and in that time I have changed the layout yet again. See, I had the layout changed a few days ago, but my host moved and my backup wasn't all that recent. So, I lost a few entries, a lot of comments, and a layout. This is what you guys get in the mean time, but it's not too bad so I think you'll live. Hopefully.

Vacation was nice. I swam, went to the gym, drank, you know—my ususal, just in a different place. Nothing extremely exciting to report, nothing great happened and I really don't have the energy to actually go into detail about... well, anything really.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone, it's nice to finally be... 16? Ugh three more years until I'll really be happy about my age.

So, I lost a few entries. I'm kicking myself in the face even though I have no sweet clue what the fuck happened. At least my host saved some of my site, including the layout. I did change it all, but whatever. I don't really care at this point in time.

I'm on vacation until Friday night, talk to you guys then.

No, I'm not here to preach to you about Peta and how horrible KFC is, or how people shouldn't eat meat or sit on leather sofas—but the discussion is similar, and I am assuming that many of you will be able to connect to it (pet owners/animal lovers). It's really disturbing, but not in a sense of gore or direct violence. I can't even describe how I felt in words, let alone write it coherently. I just hope something is done about it, because I'm ready to knock a bitch out.

Today I was working at Zellers and a customer comes running in with a dog in her hands (perfectly depicted by the picture provided). This dog was locked up in a black Hyundai in our stores parking lot. This woman pulled up beside the car, ready to do her shopping, when she heard the dog yelping and pawing at the window trying to get out. Just so you're aware, it's about 30 degrees here right now, excluding the humidity which is ridiculously high as well. The windows were completely rolled up and the dog had no way of getting fresh air, let alone cooling down. The car was the equivalent of being in a sauna for hours. Well, she comes running in to get someone (who would have guessed it... it was me), and we go out and get the window down. They left it open about a centimeter, so we were able to push it down. We got the dog out and rushed it in to give it water.

We get a hold of the woman who owned it, and apparently she's had many abuse calls to the SPCA and the police by people in her neighbourhood. She doesn't believe that it will harm the dog, and since we didn't take a picture or have any actual evidence they couldn't do anything about it. I was livid, to be honest. She grabs the dog by it's neck, screaming at us and it, and leaves the store. The police and the SPCA told us they couldn't do anything. We had her license plate and everything, it was really shitty. I am so worried for that dog, I'm going to keep my eye out for it (a week ago it was found running loose in our parking lot).

I'm going to punch that woman in the throat, so while I'm gone, let me know how you feel about people doing things like this—and have you ever had any experience dealing with issues such as this one?

Think Before You Wear

Often enough you're walking down the street and you see people (that's a given). These people, for the most part, do understand how to properly clothe themselves for their body type and the weather outside. Congratulations to said persons, whether they are obese, average or skinny—they know how to dress! The problem isn't them though, it's everyone else.

Your body size has almost nothing to do with what I'm talking about, because in reality, I don't give a shit and neither do most people around you whether you think they do or not. The reason most people don't care is because there isn't any big deal about ridiculously underweight people or overweight people—the problem is how said people are dressing themselves on a day-to-day basis.

Are you overweight, borderline obese or just a little chubby? Don't wear skin tight clothing please. There is a proper way to clothe yourself. If you're slightly overweight, wear something that accentuates your torso and takes away from your lower abdominal area. If you're more than a little overweight, wear something that flows, but nothing really baggy because it just shows how big you really are, and then adds some. If you're bigger up top, wear a nice fitting jean and a flowing top but make sure it accentuates your chest a little (it draws more attention there then your stomach!). If you're bigger down bottom wear a nice fitted shirt, a v-neck with a tank top under it or something similar. Oh, and don't forget to wear underwear that fits, especially the bra because... well that's just disturbing.

Are you really skinny? Use it to your advantage if you can. Wear fitting tops, and pants that don't make your legs look like bones. Just because you're really skinny doesn't mean you should wear tight bottoms. Also, if you don't have boobs don't wear a shirt that requires boobs to pull it off. It wasn't made for you.

Guys? Yeah you need help too, trust me. I recommend if you are overweight you try to loose some of the weight but in the mean time make sure your jeans are a looser fit, as are your shirts. Blazers slim you down most of the time and look great, but for example white shirts by themselves do not look good. Darker colours are better to hide the fat as well, so avoid things like white and gray.

There is the right type of clothing for everyone, but remember that if something you try on fits 'just right'... go up a size.

... with it's head cut off!

In case you didn't fully understand my simile: I haven't stopped. This past week has been absolutely crazy, what with school getting out, parties happening, family issues and more. While I haven't blogged, I've been working behind the scenes this past week on a few different features I'm planning on bringing to Disko. While a lot of these will remained unnamed until I launch them fully, one major one would be the reviews I'm now offering. You can submit your website to be critiqued by me—want to know a bit more? Make sure you at least check it out, and maybe refer someone you know to it if you feel your website is already up to par. I want to get it up and running!

Canada Day was three days ago on July 1st. It was pretty crazy to be honest. We head down to the Halifax waterfront for games, competitions, etcetera. There was bouncy castles, eating competitions, talent competitions, great shopping, a lot of fun live music, and of course fireworks. :P I'm hoping to post some of the photos a friend took of our day downtown with everyone (she has trouble actually uploading them to Facebook, the stupid shit). Now, if that wasn't good enough the post-fireworks story is even better.

Myself, three girls and another guy got this huge twelve person tent and set it up on the beach. We brought bags and bags of chips, bottles and bottles of pop, and quarts and pints of alcohol. We partied on the beach in front of the fire drinking and just having a fun, relaxing time. It's a great way to end the night, especially crashing in the tent in the middle of telling stories to scare the shit out of the girls. The only downside? I got an hour of sleep, and had to wake up at 6:30AM so I could be home to babysit my younger brother. :|

The shitty, singular hour of sleep got me through a day of babysitting, an orthodontic appointment, and an eight hour shift at work. x_x Lets just say that the night following was probably the best sleep I've ever had.

Well, that's about it for updates on my life and the website—excluding the new layout anyway. It's a premade template coded by the fantastic Sarai, and pimped out by myself. I wanted to try something new, something I haven't done before and something that I can't remember seeing on anyone's website. I need your input on the layout so I can improve it, so let me know what I can do! :D

Also, happy 4th of July to all you American's!

I like drinking, and if you know me even a little it's very obvious it's something I do on a more than seldom occasion. Underage or not, I'm still a 'responsible' drunk most of the time and it pisses me off to no end when people don't know their limits. Whether or not alcohol makes you vomit your internal organs out, makes you the biggest slut on the east coast or makes you a little more violent than a mob member, it doesn't matter because it isn't that important. Knowing when to stop drinking before you can't control these actions IS important.

I've seen everything from violence to I'll Fuck Everything I See Syndrome, as well as people who seem like they are temporarily bipolar. One thing in common with all of these, are the people who have the problems. None of this is necessary, everything is completely preventable. Go ahead and drink, but figure out the point before it all goes downhill and stop there. Don't keep going because you'll regret it the next day, trust me.

If you can't seem to figure out your limit, maybe you shouldn't drink until you do. Things like what I've mentioned above are very similar to drinking and thinking you can drive. Stupid choices result in stupid decisions which have bad endings no matter what.

Before you think you're the shit because you almost drank a quart, remember that you're not. Oh wait, you might be dead by then so never mind.

PS, check out the site updates located on the sidebar for the... well the latest updates!

... are over. Finally. :D I had to write English, math and history - all of which I may have done horribly on? See, I don't study. I can't study. My attention span is that of a fish, and whenever I try I end up wandering off and doing something else. Also, this thing in my head that says, "If you don't know it now you won't know it in two days so just wing it!" Lets just say that I won't be listening to my head anytime soon. If I studied, I could of done a lot better. :|

Now that exams are over the amount of time working increases, the amount of time being with friends increases, and the amount of days spent lounging around doing shit all? Astronomically increases. :P Really, I hope this is a decent summer filled with booze and drugs and a lot of parties because after this year, I need to have fun. It's not optional.

I'm a pretty chill guy, I don't get bothered by all that much and I don't care for arguments and fights when they're really unnecessary. As much as I love watching a good argument and/or fight go down; I prefer not to be involved unless it's something serious that needs attention. :P

I have a friend, lets call her C. She's pretty cool, most of the time and I like hanging out with her a lot but to be completely honest she's a huge douche bag. She constantly makes fun of people because of how they look - then we make fun of her back and she goes home and makes her MSN name 'FUCKING BITCHES SUCK ASS! :@'. She won't talk to us and waits for us to apologize to her. We don't bother and she cries like a little emo kid.

She constantly starts pathetic arguments and will not take no for an answer. She's so fucking stubborn, and will IGNORE you until you agree with her. Example: Today I didn't take her shift for work and she blows up at me saying I'm the worst friend ever. :| Alright then, fuck you.

I'm not going to talk to her until she smartens the hell up because I'm tired of this petty, unnecessary drama.

Sorry For The Disappearance

Hey everyone, sorry about that. I kind of had some issues with my hosts and with my content, but everything should be sorted out now - although all my previous entries and comments were lost. :( It's not a big deal really, none of it was that important enough to rewrite and have everyone comment on again.

I'd like to thank everyone for their comments on my previous entry prior to the big fuck up that is my website. It means a lot, and has given me more inspiration to keep losing the weight I need to get rid of (preferably before I go swimming). ;) I hope that the entry has given some people a new outlook on what they need to do to stay healthy and to feel great. That was what I was attempting to go for, but since I fail miserably almost 24/7 it's hard to keep up when something goes right.

The same layout is still up as you can see, but with different CSS. I thought something brighter was in order for the summer months, seeing as I probably won't have too much time to work on Disko from an aesthetic point of view. Any comments on the layout are appreciated, I want to tweak it until it looks as good as it can get. I hope that I'll keep up with this website from now on, and I hope it won't ~disappear~ again. :P For now, I just have to get through a week of exams and then another week of being drunk every night. Hopefully I'll have some epic stories to tell you! :D
